Let's answer your questions!

We are primarily an illustration gallery selling unframed and unmounted original illustrated art, such as limited edition prints, original drawings, posters, greetings cards and postcards and small printed, illustrated merch such as enamel pins, small accessories and vinyl stickers.

We sell affordable art which ranges from £1 to £1,000 in value. We are sorry but we absolutely cannot stock jewellery, precious metals/gems, sculpture, video art, installations, fashion and textiles (apart from T-Shirts), general crafts, ornaments or ceramics, or traditional Fine Art such as paintings.

Everything we sell needs to be illustrated by you, kind to others (don't incite hatred or violence) and you must own the full copyright. We reserve the right to remove anything from sale that does not meet these guidelines.

When you complete your booking at the checkout and sign up for a Vendor Subscription we will take a ganders the illustration you have uploaded: when you book a space, you will be asked to upload an image of one of your illustrations so we can see what you create. You won't be able to checkout without uploading a sample illustration first. 

We don't want to waste your time and money, so if we don't think we could sell your (probably very awesome and beautiful) art to our customer base, we will refund your order. We can't provide feedback for why we haven't confirmed your booking, but it's most likely that your work would find lots more hungry customers than we could ever supply you with at a Fine Art Gallery or Craft Fair. We rarely turn anyone away - if we do, it is usually because their work doesn’t meet our guidelines, for example it is made of silver, or is a framed oil painting on canvas. 

If we think you will fit right in at Bodega Bijou, then you will receive a confirmation that your order has been fulfilled by email, and you are all booked in! After booking, please stop by the gallery within a week or so, during our opening hours, to introduce yourself because we would love to meet you and get you selling with us ASAP.

We know that uploading files is a bit annoying, but this verification process is simply our way of ensuring our little gallery remains a gallery dedicated to illustration and illustrators. We can't wait to hear from you, and hopefully work with you, real soon. 

Before you start selling we will send you a copy of our Artist Guidebook. This includes all the information you need to prepare for selling with us, such as a list of suppliers we recommend and advice on how to package or price your work.

You are also required by law to obtain Product Liability & Product Indemnity Insurance before selling goods to the public in U.K. shops and markets and must agree to have obtained this before selling with us.

When you sign up for a Vendor Subscription you agree to a minimum subscription term of three months before cancellation. After your first three months, you are welcome to cancel your subscription at any time. We will continue to sell your work - unless you request otherwise - until the end of your current subscription term and then we will remove your work from sale online and in store. Please come to collect your work within a week of your subscription term ending. We regret that we cannot return work by post. You can cancel your subscription by emailing us, hello@bodegabijou.com and making a request to cancel, or alternatively you can click on the "Sign In" tab in the top menu bar of our website, where you can sign in and manage your subscriptions manually.

Production times are currently slower than normal due to Covid19. We aim to create anything you order within 7-10 working days, but there may be slight delays. Please bear with us, and be assured that as soon as you place your order, we get to work on it.

If you haven't received your order and you are worried it's been lost, please contact us via the contact page and we will trace your package and get back to you asap.
